Tyler, The Creator - IFHY (live at London's Forum)

There’s nothing that OFWGKTA didn’t do to ensure that they projected an image of total nonchalance throughout their set in London last night, from the blasé blazing to the apparent randomness with which they wandered on and off stage – they’ve been doing this for a long time now, and they’ve got it down to an art. Tyler’s so used to greeting his audience as “assholes” and “cocksuckers” that it even comes coated in heavy overtones of boredom. There’s one thing that gives the game away, though: they’re super, super tight. Every member (Tyler, Hodgy Beats, Domo Genesis, Mike G and Left Brain were all accounted for) exuded a classic and controlled degree of showmanship in every one of their silly movements and crowd interactions, whether they were on the mic or not. Hodgy shone brightest for sheer technical elegance; Tyler, meanwhile, predictably elicited the wildest and weirdest energy from the audience.

IFHY, a cut from his recent third album ‘Wolf’, was a moment of droopy-shouldered, snarly cathartic bliss; he was also joined by the powerful presence of Domo Genesis for ‘OF Tape Vol. 2’ track Sam (Is Dead). Both were caught on film (to the best of one poor phone’s ability) for your viewing pleasure above and below.
