Thom Yorke - Boiler Room Session

The Boiler Room caught its biggest fish yet on Tuesday night. Radiohead’s Thom Yorke stepped up to the most talked-about turntables on the net for a 30-minute showcase mix, to celebrate the launch of the King of Limbs remix album.

Opening with Blawan’s remix of Bloom, he oversaw the drop with obvious glee before rolling forward with the likes of Ramadanman’s Work Them, plus releases by Modeselektor and Madvillain, among others.

Yorke is clearly not as talented a tactician behind the decks as he his with guitar or pen in-hand, but he deserves some serious props for showing the steel to stand up tall and dance like a lunatic in front of a notoriously tough crowd. His selections also prove that his recent support for the bass scene wasn’t just a passing fad, and that he’s a fanboy in the truest sense of the word.

XL released Radiohead’s remix album ‘TKOL RMX 1234567’ on October 11 2011
