The Crystal Ark - We Came To

The Crystal Ark’s new video is ridiculous. We Came To, taken from their really rather good self-titled debut album, is an eight minute funk opus built around an addictive, one-note bassline, and rather than cut the track down to the standard pop song length for its video, we’ve been treated to bonkers visuals that last the full eight minutes. Directed by filmmaker and Crystal Ark member Viva Ruiz, the video is a playhouse of the ridiculous, a camp and cosmic journey built on lo-fi sets and cheap graphics that starts in space and ends up on Coney Island beach at sunrise, and should be enough to convince the unconvinced that The Crystal Ark are the funnest band going right now.
