Planningtorock - Living It Out (Laurel Halo Remix) [video]

Brooklyn-via-Michigan synth musician Laurel Halo has remixed Planningtorock’s Living It Out. [via Fact] Last year’s ‘King Felix’ debut album and this year’s Hippos In Tanks-released ‘Hour Logic’ EP have displayed Halo’s Detroit-flavoured dark, layered and imaginative soundscap, and her remix of Living It Out is no exception. Chopping and keeping bits of Janine Rostron’s vocal, her rework of the track is a fascinating musical journey; it is a total reinterpretation of the fast-paced, uplifting original version, and showcases electronic music at its most tender and emotive.

DFA will release ‘Living It Out’ on two separate 12”, featuring remixes offered by Laurel Halo, Jackson, When Saints Go Machine, Cosmodelica, and Billy Lock (Felix from Hot Chip).
