Metronomy - Love Letters
Somehow, Metronomy have coaxed eccetrnic filmmaker Michel Gondry out of music video retirement to shoot the clip for their latest single Love Letters, the title track from their forthcoming fourth album. Gondry hasn't really done a music video for a while, having shifted his focus to feature films like Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and the spotty The Science Of Sleep a few years ago, but this colourful, single-take video is a welcome return for the guy behind now-legendary videos for Daft Punk, The White Stripes, and Radiohead.
Fun extra #1: at 5pm tomorrow (February 12th) you'll be able to talk to Metronomy's Joseph Mount and Gondry in a Google Hangout hosted by funny guy Adam Buxton on Youtube. You'll be able to submit questions to the two on the comments section on the Love Letters video using the hashtag #LoveLetters. This might prove to be the only time we'd reccommend you look at a Youtube comments section. It'll stream on Metronomy's Youtube channel.
