The BasedGod gets philosophical with Celine Dion and a saxophone.
Another day, another Lil B music video. This time San Francisco’s BasedGod has diverged from his regulation souped-up swag rap with a sample of Celine Dion’s titanic power ballad, reimagined for saxophone.
Actually, it’s not a sample, it’s the entire song, and if it isn’t by Kenny G it’s certainly got all the stylish trademarks of the 75-million selling corkscrew-curled sax player. The tearjerking climax also provides the backdrop to clips of Lil B fans having an emotional moment with their hero. Not a rapper who underestimates his own cultural significance.
