Kwes - rollerblades

Warp-signed alternative pop musician Kwes has a brill new video for [rollerblades], taken from his Album of the Week-worthy debut 'ilp'.

Directed by triple MOBO winner Ian Pons Jewell, the video is a blading ballet starring rollerskating champion Juan Tocino, who glides around an abandoned warehouse on skates while miming along to Kwes' dazzling sideways pop. Kwes himself makes an appearance, briefly, before getting unplugged (a sentence which makes a lot more sense once you watch the clip). A weird video, yeah, but also one of the most entertaining we've seen in a bit.
