Joe Goddard and Mara Carlyle’s new single She Burns has been given the dark video treatment. In it we see a stone cold Carlyle lying flat on a table, singing and tapping her fingers without any other movement. It doesn’t take long to realise that she’s having her body prepared for her own funeral, and you’ll get a genuinely ill feeling when you see her filled with embalming fluids. Goddard gets off lightly – he’s nowhere to be seen.
