Ital , aka Daniel Martin-McCormick previously stated to Dummy ‘I wanted to make real tracks. By real, I mean something that could be DJ’ed or remixed, that didn’t have lots of tape hiss, that sounds like the tracks I jam at home.’. Culture Clubs is completely that, a track that is simultaneously minimal and powerful.

Shot by Chris Byler and Sam Adams and edited by Chris Byler, Ital’s new video is definitely unusual. In keeping with the eerie tone of Culture Clubs the video displays trippy scenes of dogs running through a graveyard and then switches to images of various pups locked away in cages, while Mykki Blanco purchases a diamante collar from a pet store. Whatever this is, it somehow works.
