Foals - Late Night

Foals – who introduced Petite Noir to us a few months back, and to many ears released their finest LP to date with ‘Holy Fire’ last month – have shared a life-spanning new video for Late Night. It was produced by Australian/Iranian video director Nabil – who you may recall was responsible for the sensory-melting clip that accompanied Frank Ocean’s Pyramids.

It features the band performing in a Soviet-style bar in a hotel, as we peer into an array of midnight goings-on in the adjacent rooms. It packs in a whirlwind of weighty life and death themes into its five-minute length, which as one Youtube commenter has pretty aptly put it, presents “Three stages: seed, birth, death.”

Transgressive released ‘Holy Fire’ on the 11th February 2013.
