Disclosure - When A Fire Starts To Burn

The video to Disclosure’s new single When A Fire Starts To Burn is very Disclosure. In it, a small scale model of the televangelism and mega-churches that are huge over in the States fall into a rapture to the track’s central vocal hook but, since no one actually has any intention of catching the holy ghost or anything like that, it soon becomes a comedy where people are turned into cats and people bring their pythons for salvation. In our recent interview with them, Disclosure re-iterated the idea that they weren’t “sell-outs” or “crossovers” but a couple of boys who love pop and old dance music in equal measure and try to bring that clarity and energy together. Their past videos basically featured people who look like Disclosure fans or, in the case of White Noise, nodded at dance roots, but this is the clearest illustration of their unambiguous appeal yet.

PMR will release ‘Settle’ on the 3rd June 2013.
