Angel Haze - No Bueno

In our recent interview with the rising pop/rap star, Angel Haze was keen to stress that her music isn’t “urban”, and talked at length about her admiration for the shock-mongering, personally cathartic style of Eminem’s music. Her new single No Bueno appeared online just after we published the piece, and made perfect sense in its wake; with an aggressively defensive tone set to a hook-led structure, there’s a lot about this track that recalls Eminem, and now, true to form, No Bueno also has a NSFW, played-for-laughs video to continue the theme. Make no mistake, though – Haze might wear her influences on her sleeve, but she’s one of the most unique – even downright incongruous – voices around right now.

Republic are expected to release Angel Haze’s debut album ‘Dirty Gold’ this summer.
