Gilles Peterson's flagship event gets a two-day extension for 2012.
Extended dates for Gilles’ Peterson’s ‘Worldwide Festival’ have been announced for 2012, and will now see the event span an entire week.
The festival, hosted in the fishing town of Sete on the south coast of France, was expanded to five days in 2011 and that direction has continued with an additional two days now scheduled for next year.
Backed by the warmth of the Mediterranean sea, the event will take place between 2nd and 8th of July, 2012. Lineup details are yet to emerge but a swift glance at last year’s bill is enough to whet the appetite – Flying Lotus, Mount Kimbie, James Blake, Pearson Sound, Cut Chemist and Joy Orbison, to name but a few, all showed face.
Early-bird tickets are due to go on sale in early November.
