London band to play long overdue homecoming gigs this month, with tickets allocated through a special lottery.
The xx have announced that they will make their live return playing three intimate London shows this month, ahead of their summer festival appearances.
The three gigs will take place in Islington, Hackney and Battersea but tickets, which are bound to be a teeny bit popular, won’t be allocated with the usual first-come, first-served policy.
The xx have published the following message on their website: “To ensure everyone has an equal chance of attending these special shows, tickets will be available through a lottery system.”
Entry for the ticket lottery is open now and closes at 9am on Tuesday 8th May. Winners will be given a unique code giving them the opportunity to purchase up to four tickets for their selected event. Tickets are priced at £19.50 each plus booking fee.
The dates are:
14th May – Electrowerkz, Islington, London
15th May – Chats Palace, Hackney, London
18th May – Battersea Arts Centre, Battersea, London
