Possible release date for Daft Punk album

Oscar-winning songwriter Paul Williams joins Nile Rodgers as Daft Punk collaborator, and announces June as a possible street date.

First it was Nile Rodgers, now it’s Paul Williams who is claiming a stake in the next chapter of Daft Punk’s incredible career. Spotted at SXSW, the Academy award-winning songwriter is reported of giving definitive confirmation that there is in fact a fourth Daft Punk album on its way, and it could be dropped as early as June. At the Austin music festival for the screening of the film Paul Williams Still Alive the usually reclusive songwriter credited with penning songs for The Carpenters and The Muppets Movie has left little doubt in clearly stating, “I have written songs for Daft Punk. This material will appear on their new album, coming maybe June”.
