Micachu & the Shapes will undertake a residency as Good Sad Happy Bad in Bristol this March

Mica Levi and her DIY band will perform a three-night residency at Bristol's Cube Cinema, featuring new music, films, and karaoke.

Micachu & the Shapes will undertake a residency at Bristol's Cube Cinema in March.

Going under the name Good Sad Happy Bad, the residency sees DIY pop band the Shapes – made up of band leader Mica Levi, Raisa Khan, and Marc Pell – perform new songs and presenting fresh artwork.

The three-day residency takes place at Bristol's Cube Cinema, a volunteer-run art bunker, as part of their playthecube series from March 13th-15th. The first two nights of the residency – GOOD (March 13th) and SAD (March 14th) will see live music, DJ sets, and karaoke interact with video footage and interviews captured during the band's stint at the Cube. The final night, HAPPY BAD (March 15th), consists of a film programme produced by the band.

Previous residencies at playthecube have featured Heatsick and Grouper.

Mica Levi received a BAFTA nomination for her soundtrack to Jonathan Glazer's Under The Skin, but the success of that score hasn't stopped her from doing what she always does: releasing the odd mixtape and making music with friends.

Good Sad Happy Bad takes place at the Cube Cinema, Bristol from March 13th-15th (buy tickets).
