Laurel Halo will release an EP on Hyperdub next month!
Laurel Halo has a new EP and it’s coming out next month! ‘Behind the Green Door’ is the first longer-length project we’ve heard from Halo since the really amazing ‘Quarantine’ from last year – her other recent releases were the single Sunlight on the Faded and an EP called ‘Spring’ under her alias King Felix – and will be out through Hyperdub on the 20th of May.
These four are hardware-only tracks developed from her live shows that step away from the beatless experimentations of the album and re-focus her club sensibilities. No cutting vocals here but it’s still awash with off-kilter rhythms and psychedelic tangents.
