Jay Z and Beyonce are the thirteenth most powerful people in music

Billboard Power 100 list names the couple as two of a select few recording artists with clout in the music business, along with Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift.

Jay Z and Beyonce have been named as the most powerful recording artists in the world, and the thirteenth most powerful figures in the music industry at large.

The Billboard Power 100 list, released yesterday, judges key players in the music industry on their market share, revenue and Billboard chart data. Irving Azoff , Chairman and Chairmen/CEO of Live Nation Entertainment and the Front Line Management Group respectively, came top of the heap.

Other recording artists who made it on to the formidable list include country-popstar Taylor Swift, who appeared at 78th, and pop culture behemoth Lady Gaga, who was given the 84th position in the list.
