Jamie xx previews his score to contemporary ballet Tree of Codes

Hear a track called Pianna in a trailer for the Jamie xx-scored Tree of Codes ballet, running at Manchester International Festival next month.

Although Jamie xx's most recent venture was his opinion-splitting debut solo album 'In Colour', he's also been busy working on the score to a contemporary ballet.

Tree of Codes debuts at Manchester International Festival next month at the Opera House. It's based around a novel by Jonathan Safran Foer and features choreography by Wayne McGregor.

In a new trailer for the performance, you can hear Pianna, a piano piece from Jamie's score. It's far removed from the distant dance of 'In Colour', and probably a bit more exciting.

Tree of Codes runs at Manchester International Festival from July 2nd to July 12th 2015 (tickets).
