Hear new material from Jamie xx and Sampha in the Young Turks special on BBC Radio 1

Plus: Jamie xx shares the news that he'll release a solo album next year, and Koreless plays with a string quintet.

Last night, BBC Radio One broadcast a two-hour special on the excellent record label Young Turks, and the show presented a few fun tidbits of information, new music, and live performances from their roster.

Show host Benji B spoke to Caius Pawson, who launched the XL sublabel back in 2006, Pional, Sampha, and Koreless played live (Sampha played a new song, and Koreless was joined by a string quintet), Jamie xx played some songs from John Talabot's Hivern Discs label, and also played a new song, Sleep Sound, which will be released in January 2014. He also confirmed – and this is a big one – that he'll be releasing a solo album next year.

So that's that. You can click here to listen to the whole thing yourselves.
