Dean Blunt will stage a play in London next month

Dean Blunt is staging a play in London next month. Named Im Just Passin Thru To Show Some Love [sic], the play will take play at the ICA on 11th April. It’s billed as a “scripted stage performance by artist and Hype Williams member Dean Blunt”, and will star Mendeeces LaCore, Siobhan Denny, and J-Star Valentine.

Blunt is no stranger to plays – last year he directed Lord Knows in Switzerland – but this is the first time that one has been performed in a UK arts institution. It’s yet more evidence of Hype Williams’ ongoing transition from are-they-a-joke experimental musicians to full-on performance artists.
