Dean Blunt reveals details of new album 'The Redeemer'

Hype Williams man will follow his recent mixtape with a new long-player in spring 2013.

In what seems like mere moments – time flies as the year trickles to a close – after we posted about Inga Copeland’s forthcoming new release, her Hype Williams cohort Dean Blunt has announced a new album titled ‘The Redeemer’ with the accompanying movie scene evoking artwork and text:

‘You cannot talk crazy to people you dont know
No matter what streets you’re from…
Every hood is the same
There’s goons, and somebody thats gonna defend their girl’

‘The Redeemer’ is Blunt’s follow-up to his recently remastered and re-released ‘The Narcissist’ mixtape. There was a brief audio clip on Polly Jacobsen’s YouTube channel – one of the band’s many conduits/identities depending who you ask – but it’s since disappeared in the ephemeral way of much Hype Williams material.

The album will be released by Blunt and Copeland’s own World Music Group label, which, incidentally, features a dog and a cat scratching a column in a pose that evokes the CND symbol. ‘The Redeemer’ will be licensed to Hippos In Tanks for a US release.

World Music will release Dean Blunt’s new album ‘The Redeemer’ in spring 2013.
