Ouch! Azealia Banks aims new diss track at veteran rapper Jim Jones

Harlem newbie makes feud with Harlem oldie official, also announces new video.

Azealia Banks has uploaded a new song onto her Soundcloud calling out rapper Jim Jones. The pair exchanged words on Twitter over, seriously, their respective use of the word ‘vamp’. The Dipset founder claiming he coined it on his most recent ‘Vampire Life’ album after Banks offered a conflicting definition.

Her studio response Succubi is full of attacks on Jim Jones’ artistic, street and even personal credibility and sees the rapper sounding very Lil’ Kim and both fighting against and embracing her rap heritage in the style she’s fast making her very own.

In other news, the reverent/irreverent star is also prepping the video to her track Van Vogue and will be on the front of the August issue of Dazed & Confused magazine, a cover that has apparently been banned in seven countries. What a life!
