Björk – Virus (Hudson Mohawke Peaches and Guacamol rework)

Of all the remixes announced of Björk’s hugely ambitious / over-complicated album / app ‘Biophilia’, one of the more intriguing name was Hudson Mohawke. And he has turned out a belter. While he’s not known for the subtlety of his productions, the Scottish producer’s recent works (not least his ‘Satin Panthers’ EP) have shown a new found gift for concision and space, which this remix displays with a lush yet tense dynamic that fits Björk’s intent perfectly, while adding some much-needed excitement to the music. Hudson is currently working with Canadian MC and producer Lunice on their new TNGHT project, which played in London on Thursday, this remix will be out on May 13th through One Little Indian with another remix by El Guincho.
