Thundercat - Shenanigans Pt. 1 (mixed by Flying Lotus) [stream]

Having worked on the Flying Lotus albums Cosmogramma and Pattern+Grid World , bassist Thundercat has a close friend in the producer, who describes him in his blog as “one of the most talented bass players I’ve ever witnessed.”

This 30 minute mix of Thundercat’s work, which was mixed by Mr Lotus himself, lives up to this testament with crawling, weaving bass-lines that deliver you through so many genres inside thirty minutes that it’ll leave you reeling. FlyLo describes the mixture as “a prelude to the LP,” with the material being “some new, some you might know, some we may never release.” Listen to it here.
