William Kouam Djoko - Deflourished

William Kouam Djoko is perhaps not a familiar name round these parts, but he has been a mainstay on the Dutch house music scene for a long time now, clocking up releases for the likes of Rush Hour and, with Deflourished, Tom Trago's Voyage Direct. Deflourished is an Afro-percussive belter that draws more from footwork than the house he's affiliated with, and it's received a pretty cute video from illustrator Saša Ostoja and animator Niko Lanzuisi. According to a press release, the keywords used as the video's inspiration were "dark", "deep", and "voodoo", and as such you get a bunch of animals from the Savannah summoning up spirits. It's way too adorable to be dark, though.
