Booming out from the abyss, the new track from London-based artist Twigs is a stark and sultry thing, pulled downwards by a weighty undercurrent of bass courtesy of producer Arca. How’s That is strung together in the form of the most tensely sexual call-and-response song structure ever (for the first half of the song Twigs urges “how’s that…feel?” before relenting late in the second half, finally, “that…feels…good…so so amazing”), and comes accompanied by a typically Twigs-ish video that focusses on one gradually morphing bodily image.
