Spoons is a balmy, candle-lit slow jam delivered by north London four-piece Rudimental. Known for their bass-driven sound, Rudimental surprise us here with a slice of exquisite and deeply romantic electronic melody. The track bumps with a rich, soulful flavour – the heartwarming and misty chords, the sparse bassline, as well as the silky vocals provided by 17-year-old artist MNEK and south London singer Syron all add up to a slick production, which stands out, and has been picked up by The xx on their blog.
