Premiere: TRC vs. Murlo - You & Me (feat. Ruth)

Late last year, Wolverhamption producer TRC released You & Me through Bristol party and imprint Crazylegs, a delicious little single with an intimate vocal by a singer called Ruth. Today, the label are releasing a refix of the track by Murlo – an increasingly popular name whose soca-inspired melodies you've probably heard rising up in recent instrumental grime sets, and who is currently part-way through a five week residency on BBC Radio 1Xtra's UK Garage show. His version of the track is more atmospheric and melancholic, and it also comes with this video made by the producer himself, featuring a pair of lovers and a strangely majestic cow.

"The video's main purpose is focused on aesthetics I guess – as in, like, the colours I saw when making the tune – but it does have a loose narrative. It centres around a couple who live in a remote village, and they get approached by this kind of orb," Murlo says about his animation, "As for the actual logistics of the animation, I made it using a mixture of CGI software and stitched it all together using After Effects. I taught myself how to use the software over the past year or so and I'm pretty happy with it."

Crazylegs release Murlo's refix  of 'You & Me' on 21st April 2014.
