Premiere: Shit Robot - Do It (Right)
Shit Robot's newest single is Do It (Right), taken from his most recent album for DFA Records, 'We Got A Love'.
Do It (Right) is a bit of vintage-styled jacking house music featuring O.G. house music artist Lidell Townsell, and its video plays on this: essentially it's a lyric video, but the lyrics are set to pastiches of classic house record sleeves. Labels like Strictly Rhythm, Trax, Underground, and D.J. International are all featured.
It's taken from a bigger EP, out today, which features remixes by BareSkin, Lord of the Isles, and Townsell himself. Shit Robot is also playing a special DJ date in London at The Coronet on November 15th, with full dates up on his website. He'll also be releasing a new hip house mix on the DFA Records Soundcloud from Wednesday, although whether that matches up to his Dummy Mix from last year remains to be seen.
