Daft Punk - Instant Crush

With Christmas nearly upon us, it seems that Daft Punk are eager to shift more units of their lavish 'Random Access Memories' deluxe boxset, so to encourage you to part with your cash, they've released this video for the Julian Casablancas-featuring Instant Crush.

Instant Crush perhaps wasn't the best song on 'Random Access Memories' (then again, nothing was the best song on 'Random Access Memories'), but its video is genuinely decent, a love story between two waxworks in a museum that, to paraphrase the great Milhouse Van Houten, starts like Romeo & Juliet, but ends in tragedy. 

Considering how phoned-in Julian Casablancas' vocal sounds on the song itself, and considering he was the only Daft Punk collaborator not to do an interview for The Collaborators series of videos, it's a pleasant surprise that The Strokes frontman actually dragged himself to the studio to make an appearance in the video.

Columbia will ship the 'Random Access Memories' deluxe boxset in early December.
