If you’re not familiar with Reservoir or 237 (Kish!, Virgil Hawkins, Scuti, Yxng Jynn to name a few), you’re missing out on some of the most exciting music coming out of London right now. These two collectives of hyper-talented artists are building an underground empire off the back of their versatile brand of alternative hip hop released by the boatload!
In the midst of all this content is the idiosyncratic Leo Bhanji, who’s music is located somewhere between Frank Ocean and King Krule, but he personally considers himself to be more of a rapper – it’s honestly all abit of an enigma. From his odd arrangements to his demo-like vocal production, the 19-year-old’s sugar-coated melodies and rap-like delivery flows perfectly on the organic beats that drive the numerous releases you can find on his Soundcloud.
Possibly one of the lesser known-members of 237, the North London-based creative is however one of the most active, after dropping a number of one-off tracks and collaborations online, Leo Bhanji returns in full force with a neatly packaged music video for his single ‘Polaroid’ taken off his recently released six-track EP ‘Food’.
Watch the video above and immerse yourself into the ever-so catchy hook of the track.
