He's been operating as one half of Mak & Pasteman for a few years now but we first heard of Matt Bridgewater's productions as Callahan was in spring of last year when he put out his first solo release, which was also the debut record on Bristol label 4Seasons. Having run as a party for a few years before, this was just the start of 4Seasons branching out.
With a distinctly UK take on bass, house and techno, Callahan joins those currently rising in Bristol's flourishing production scene. He's now coming to Dext Recordings who seem to have a busy 2016 ahead of them, starting with Callahan's 'Don't Need' EP, which comes accompanied by a remix from fellow Bristol producer Hodge. We have the visuals for the title track for you to watch for the first time below – a scientific, black-and-white four panel video, shot through a grainy filter.
'Don't Need' is out via Dext Recordings on 29th January 2016.
