Genre-bending Russian producer Aleksei Nikitin aka Nocow will be releasing a series of three EP’s – Vozduh / Voda / Zemlya – for the Berlin-based imprint Figure, founded by Len Faki. Within this trilogy, Nocow displays his signature-style of electronica-tinged techno through an array of deeply personal cuts.
‘Vozduh’ is the first instalment to open proceedings with vaporous tracks and weightless vocals as well as hard-hitting yet introspective ghetto-house inspired takes such as 'Forgiven'. Drawing inspiration from the cold and endless winters of his home town of Saint Petersburg, Nocow works various stylistic elements as well as imbuing his productions with a noticeably Russian and deeply personal sensitivity.
