If you haven’t seen it yet, then get on to Sure Thing’s video for Holding You Tight. Sure Thing are a Bristol supergroup, a collaboration between some of the city’s major bass music stalwarts, and as expected, they make…boogie disco. The group’s core members are old junglist DJ Die (who often spins disco under the alias Laminate Radio), Christophe from Futureboogie and drummer Desi Rogers. The track also features none other than dubstep stalwart Joker on keys, as well as William Cartwright on guitar and talkbox. It’s all rounded off by some sultry vocals from Chloé Lang.
The video for the track is a must-see, the transitional wipe FX and VHS fuzz fitting the kitsch vive perfectly. The track is out next month on Gutterfunk Records.
