South London-based singer (and one time Lil Silva collaborator) Rosie Lowe makes fractured electronic love songs that deal with festering heartbreak and regret, but she does it in a way that has us leaning closer and listening for more.
With production help from Dave Okumu of The Invisible and Kwes and a stunningly simple video directed by DELS, Right Thing is about the feeling you get when you think you've done anything but. After starting out as a relatively straightforward piano ballad with a Sade-like vocal, the track plunges into a lonely space (reminiscent of James Blake's early vocal explorations) that sees Lowe harmonising with distorted and pitch-chifted version of herself, like the conflicting throughs running through her mind. Watch the clip above, and look out for her EP next month.
The 'Right Thing' EP will be released on the 2nd December 2013.
