Video: R&B, 15.05.20In the world of R&B-soaked electronica and jazz, Miller Blue is a standout figure. The London-via-Leeds artist has been enjoying a steady rise of late, delivering urgent lyricism over Frank Ocean and James Blake-inspired soundscapes.
Featuring on a forthcoming EP of the same name, his ‘Sunflower’ single has now been given a bold visual, with Miller sat in front of blurred city lights and karaoke-style lyrics framing the video, a window into Miller Blue’s heartfelt writing.
“For me, writing Sunflower acted as an ode to my last relationship, a reflection on the good and the bad,” Miller says of the track. “It’s a piece to say that I hope everything is working out just fine for her and that although the process took me a long time to fully understand, ultimately I know that we helped each other grow to where we needed to be at that point in our lives, and for that I am forever grateful”.
