Labyrinth Ear are a duo from London made up of two people, who press materials are simply naming as Emily and Tom. Their music is a textural, psychedelic, electronic take on folky pop music, although it occasionally goes a bit cosmic disco. Now, this might all sound like an arbitrary bunch of words slung together, but they're all very relevant to Labyrinth Ear's debut album, 'The Orchid Room'. 'The Orchid Room' was released back in February this year, be we only cottoned on to it after the band played at patten's 555-5555 clubnight.
Although we dropped the ball the first time round, we're able to, er, pick it back up again, as Labyrinth Ear are re-releasing the album on September 22nd in an expanded form (new songs, new remixes) to tie in with its US release. Before that comes out, they've dropped a new video for the sweeping Marble Eyes, where mysterious visuals and an abstracted narrative match the song's hazy, pastoral vibe.
LE Records release 'The Orchid Room' on September 22nd 2014 (pre-order).
