The brand new video for Alter Eagle was conceptualised, shot and edited by eleven year old Portlyn Houghton-Harjo, daughter of the respected Native American filmmaker Sterlin Harjo.
Accompanying the second single to be taken from the husband and wife duo’s joyously fuzzy new record Nightrunners, ‘Runaways’ has a hopeful, bright tone, buzzing with potential in this fast-moving clip. Consisting mostly of shaky car-sick images of the world as seen from a moving car, it brilliantly encapsulates the feeling you get on cramp-y, long-distance journeys in the passenger seat, thinking glumly about how beautiful the world is as it rushes past you, and how rubbish it is to be eleven years old and unable to properly explore any of it just quite yet.
