patten's debut 'ESTOILE NAIANT' was released this week – and its full of the textural discombulations and buried pop references we've come to expect from his own work, and the aesthetic around his Kaleidoscope label.
This video for Winter strobing has emerged too this week, with the straightforward premise of a lingering camera following someone taking a stroll round Canary Wharf (at one point she crosses the road on a red man, tut tut). But the area's Disneyfied artificiality fits well with Winter strobing's wandering, withering rhythms. patten made an ace, wacko mix for us late last year, and his AV show comes well reccomended: details on upcoming dates are here.
Warp released 'ESTOILE NAIANT' on February 24th 2014.
