His arms make considered, purposeful shapes against the blue-grey backdrop of Stockholm skate park. There is a sense of prayer to his movements, a document of hope and longing. I saw o F F Love perform live for the first time last Wednesday at Heaven in London where he was supporting a jubilant Kindness. On stage, his face covered by that trademark scarf, o F F Love poured himself into his vocoder, calling out in uncannily disembodied tones as his body swayed to his treacle-slow take on pop distillation; meditations in half-time that isolate and magnify the potent emotions at the heart of pop.
