Video: Rap, 13.06.19UK rapper Little Simz has released the visuals to stand-out song ‘101 FM’ from her acclaimed album ‘GREY Area’, released earlier this year.
The video pays homage to the artist’s upbringing as a child during the late nineties/early noughties and flashes back to her history in pirate radio, where for Simz, writing bars in her bedroom and attending intimate flat parties were a day-to-day occurrence.
The beautifully-constructed video was shot on VHS to enhance feelings of nostalgia; providing a fitting visual for one of the most prominent upcoming artists in the UK scene at the moment.
Where the rapper has been making big moves in the music industry, she hasn’t let this stop her pursuing other projects and avenues – with the 25-year-old set to appear in the highly anticipated new series of Top Boy, rubbing shoulders on set with the likes of other big name artists, Dave and Kano.
Little Simz will be touring her album ‘GREY Area’ from October across locations such as Leeds, Nottingham, Glasgow, Oxford and London.
