Julianna Barwick has shared an understated, escapist clip to accompany One Half, set to feature on her imminent new album 'Nepenthe'. One of the fullest moments on 'Nepenthe', that central line, "I guess I was asleep at night…", starts to shed its innocence as its reptition morphs into some ritualistic chant. The video features a meditative Barwick standing in the middle of a deserted carpark, before drifting off into a dreamworld of ripe fruit, blossoming flowers and oozing, dulux-style paint. If you can't possibly wait to hear the new album, go and hear 'Nepenthe' in full over at NPR now.
Dead Oceans will release 'Nepenthe' on the 12th August 2013.
