There is something very delicate yet powerful about watching a record being cut live, as is shown in the first couple of seconds of this film. It sets the scene for the coming together of two artists and two eras of New York – Ikue Mori from cult 70s no wave band DNA and producer/singer and rising star of the current downtown scene, Julianna Barwick.
