Gwilym Gold releases his debut album ‘Tender Metal’ today, which is five days ahead of its planned schedule. A video of single Habit (of a lifetime) has also been released, which can be streamed above.
Following on the XL Recordings-released album ‘True Romance’ in 2009, the former Golden Silvers vocalist and keyboardist has created a new software format called BRONZE to allow music to exist in a non static form, in which ‘Tender Metal’ will be available exclusively.
BRONZE, a new music format that can transform and manipulate every aspect of a song, from the rhythms to the texture and structure, to create a unique version on each listen. Created by Gwilym and collaborator Lexxx, and developed by Dr. Mick Grierson and Strangeloop, it was generated whilst writing and recording the album. A demo can be viewed here.
