The elemental mountain ranges of noise Liz Harris makes under the name Grouper are some of the most meditative and beautifully harsh sounds out there. The collage of striking images made to accompany her track I Saw A Ray highlights all these things. The people, the forest setting, make it look like scenes from a dark fairytale, the curtains of rich noise that make up the song perfectly chiming with this darkly fantastical aesthetic.
