Erol Alkan's Phantasy Sound label have been on a roll over the past couple of months, with a great single by Nadia Ksaiba and a fantastic album by Daniel Avery in the bag (not to mention Connan Mockasin's upcoming album and the debut release from Erol himself).
Their latest signing keeps up the winning streak. Ghost Culture is a producer living in London who seems obsessed with electro (and we mean '80s Detroit electro and Creme Organization/Bunker-style stuff, rather than the dirty electro circa '06) and makes analogue-driven dance tracks. New track Mouth seems suitable for home listening too – it lands somewhere between rugged machine-made house music and emotionally subtle synth pop that suggests an infatuation with synth pop bands like Depeche Mode and Japan.
Phantasy Sound will release the 'Mouth' EP on October 28th.
