Video: Grime, 15.01.21Bringing together two the the UK’s most formidable rappers, Ghetts has teamed up with Stormzy for latest single ‘Skengman’.
The new offering continues a great run of form for the East Londoner as we approach his imminent new album, following on from last year’s ‘Mozambique‘ with Jaykae and Moonchild Sanelly (which featured in our Best Tracks of 2020 list), and the Skepta-featuring ‘IC3’.
Exchanging clinical lyrics in a calm and controlled manner, the pair go back-and-fourth over eerie production and push each other into unexplored territory.
The moody black and white video features cameos from D Double E, Mist and more, who appear as comic book-inspired vigilantes alongside Ghetts and Stormzy. Looking like a scene from the Sin City films, the gang of MCs take to the rooftops while eliminating their targets and shelling their icy flows.
