Video: R&B, Pop, 22.09.21British-Iranian singer-songwriter Farrah has released a brand new visual for the lead track of her debut EP, ‘Night Light’. The song that often results in lighters-in-the-air moments at live performances explores themes of mental health issues and Farrah’s fear of the dark. It encourages listeners to confront their fears and not to be controlled by self-doubt. The song’s dreamlike mysticism is translated into the music video by way of phantasmal mood lighting, direction and styling. It is directed by and starring Farrah herself, created with a friend in a small studio in West London, shot and edited by Tally Spear.
Farrah explains: “Sometimes I feel like I could take on the world and the next day I feel so vulnerable and unsure of anything and everything. I wanted to show the sudden change in my mindset throughout this video, whether that be by how I present myself, my body language or expressions.”
