For those unaware, Eyedress is a 23-year-old producer from the Philippines who makes lo-fi synth pop for the midnight hour that sounds something like a grimier Glass Candy or Kavinsky. With a recent EP for XL sublabel Abeano and a full-length set to follow, Eyedress has shared a self-directed video for new song Teen Spirits. Teen Spirits is true to its name – it has that hazy teen angst vibe that musicians like M83 manage to tap into effortlessly, and its video, while definitely quite shoddy, is a neat extension of that theme. In a press release, Eyedress explains that it’s "a song about true love and the idea of soul mates, about finding the one and following them into the next life, loving them forever. The video is about giving love another shot even it [sic] got so fucked up."
Eyedress will be playing a few European shows in the coming months, which you can see below.
